The Department of Interior Design and Fashion has over 300 majors, about half of whom are pursuing careers in the fashion industry and the other half of whom are targeting career in the interiors sector.
A majority of these majors are in-state students who represent all regions of Virginia, especially the urban areas that surround Washington, DC. Other states represented in current ID&F enrollments are: Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, New York, and Vermont.
Most students in the department participate in one of the two student organizations: the RU Fahion Society or the RU studuent chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). These student groups sponsor design trips, community service projects, and student networking activities.
