Dr. Scott-Webber is a researcher, design practitioner, design educator and a former academic administrator. As a practitioner, she has designed for all project types and currently works as a specialist in the design and planning of environments for higher education as President of IN_sync: Design Consulting. In August 2008 she became the Department Head for Interior Design & Fashion at Radford University. Formally she’s acted as: the Chair of The School of Interior Design at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario; the Director of Applications Research for Vecta a Steelcase Design Partnership Company; an owner and operator of her own interior design firms in both Canada and the United States. As an environment behaviorist her research has centered on how the environment impacts behavior in knowledge sharing scenarios relative to adult learners. Her belief is that research should inform design decisions. As a researcher, she has over 40 publications to her credit; is an Associate Editor for Planning for Higher Education Journal as published by the Society for College and University Planning; is a frequent guest speaker at national and international forums.
