Computer technology is an important aspect of the Design curriculum for all degree options in the Department of Interior Design and Fashion. Computer labs across the campus and a dedicated computer-aided-design lab in McGuffey Hall provide convenient access to the computer software and hardware needed for classes. All computer applications used for classes in the Department of Interior Design and Fashion operate in the Windows based format.
For students who prefer to purchase their own computer for general use, recommendations are available by clicking on

Specialized CAD software for upper-level design studios in fashion design or interior design is provided in the CAD lab in McGuffey Hall. Because this software is quite expensive and becomes obsolete very quickly, students are encouraged to use the software provided in the CAD lab.
